HLT52615 Diploma of Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation

Location | Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane

Immerse yourself in the ancient healing science of Ayurveda. Through our Diploma Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation you will learn how to; understand the elements of an individual, provide herbal massages and treatments, prescribe traditional herbs, and tailor lifestyle recommendations to balance and enhance wellbeing. Ayurveda helps us tap into the right energies and ingredients for living well.

Ayurveda is a traditional Indian Wellness Philosophy that dates back over 5000 years. It’s basic premise is that the entire cosmos or universe is part of one singular absolute. Everything that exists in the vast external universe (macrocosm), also appears in the internal cosmos of the human body (microcosm). When the body is healthy it self corrects, and self regulates just as the universe does.

The fundamental concept of Ayurveda is to maintain health. Health care is a highly individualized practice under Ayurvedic principles, which state that everyone has a specific constitution, that determines his or her physical, physiologic and mental character and vulnerability to disease. Ayurveda does not look at the disease it looks at the host and it’s origin.

What is an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant?

An Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultant is a practitioner whose primary aim is to “maintain the Health of the Healthy” and secondary to this is to “Relieve the Diseased from Ailments”. This qualification reflects the role of Ayurvedic lifestyle consultants who provide advice, selected remedies and therapies according to Ayurvedic principles and Ayurveda as a system of medicine that applies knowledge about health and disease, and treats the individual as a whole: physically, emotionally, psychologically and spiritually. People working at this level may be self-employed independent practitioners or work in a larger health service.

Diploma Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation Course Description

The Diploma Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation has been developed in part with Ayurvedic Doctors and references the traditional text Charaka Samhita. The premise of Charaka Samhita is that through the principles and practices of Ayurveda we acknowledge nature and its elements reflected and existing within us. By connecting a person with nature you align them with the elements; vata, pitta and kapha, qualities that occur within us all.
