A dual qualification gives you the opportunity to combine two different nationally accredited diplomas into the one comprehensive program. This unique course design allows for dual qualifications to be studied in a shorter period of time than completing two separate qualifications at a reduced cost and without any loss in quality. Each competency unit is nationally accredited and on completion of the dual qualification program you receive two separate nationally accredited diplomas.
HLT52015 Diploma Remedial Massage
The HLT52015 Diploma of Remedial Massage will prepare you to enter the Allied Health Industry with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage the welfare of your clients. You will be equipped to physically assess and treat clients.
Remedial Massage is outcome-based, specific treatments targeted to the specific problem(s) the patient presents with a diagnosis and are administered after a thorough assessment/evaluation by the medical massage therapist with specific outcomes being the basis for treatment.
Remedial Massage Therapists and their practice play assess where you need treatment and what may be causing your pain. They’ll perform some tests to see exactly which muscles are giving you trouble and will tailor a treatment plan to suit.
22316VIC Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy
Myotherapy is a branch of manual medicine focused on the treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal pain and associated conditions. It involves a physical evaluation and an integrated therapeutic approach to affected muscles, joints, nerves, and associated viscera (organs) and is used in the treatment of acute or chronic conditions and in preventative management. The Diploma of Myotherapy teaches students manual therapy treatment for most common musculoskeletal conditions that result from improper posture, poor biomechanics and injury.
Myotherapists assess and physically treat myofascial pain, injury and dysfunction affecting movement and mobility. It focuses on enhancing the technical and theoretical skills you have gained working as a Remedial Massage Therapist.
HLT52615 Diploma Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation
The Diploma of Ayurvedic Lifestyle Consultation course has been designed to give you the skills and knowledge to be an Ayurvedic Practitioner. Ayurveda is considered to be a complete system of medicine in its own right.
Ayurveda is regarded as the medicine of nature and the medicine of life. The treatments of Ayurveda are found in the natural world, and most are simply diet and lifestyle. Plant based herbs help the body get balanced and then the body heals itself. Eating foods that are most beneficial for your body type will keep you healthy.
HLT52215 Diploma Shiatsu & Oriental Therapies
Shiatsu aims to treat the whole body as well as specific problem areas by addressing both emotional and physical well-being.
It is a holistic healing art developed in Japan and based on traditional 3500-year-old oriental medical wisdom while incorporating the principles of anatomy, physiology and pathology.
Through this course you will learn how to treat the body by balancing the flow of Ki-Qi (life energy).
This qualification reflects the role of Shiatsu therapists who provide therapeutic Shiatsu treatments and other oriental therapies. Practitioners may be self-employed as independent practitioners or work in a larger health service.
